We're excited to share Ashley and Basile's meticulously thought through (and delicious) wedding held at Jacuzzi Winery in Sonoma Valley. Ashley and Basile's long courtship had been developing along side their love of food, and it played a part in many of the stages in their relationship, such as Ashley eating all of Basile's popcorn while hanging out as friends. When they finally started dating, they hit up all the hot spot eateries all over the Bay Area like Azzurro and all of Thomas Keller's Yountville locations. They even attempted 7x7's Big Eat together!
For their wedding day, they wove together themes of food and good company to highlight the big part good eats has had on their relationship and their connection to their friends and family. It was a delicious gathering of good wine, a flawless dinner, churros, multi-flavored pop-corn bar, and really cute graphic design work by their friend Julia Kuo. Even their floral arrangements and venue included edibles such as lettuce, rosemary, olives and grapes.
Months after this wedding, I am still reeling from Ashley's grandma's hypnotically creative dance moves. She tore up the dance floor and danced most of the night, inspiring everyone to follow along with her one of a kind choreography. She is my hero! I hope I can be like her some day.
